Team overlook:

A year ago this team took a surprisingly victory over Denmark before falling hard to Great Britain, who in turn fell hard in the European Championships. The victory over the Danes put a side, this team has long way to go, but the first steps have been taken. Although HC Val Gunn is gone, as are important players such as HB Omar Manaf (Trolls), QB Andreas Jørgensen (Raiders), K/P/DE Kim Holter (1814s), LB Eivind Skeie (Vikings), RB Hatem Ben Mansour (Vikings) and FB/LB Raymond Rød (Oilers), Norway will be stronger than in 1998. The returnees are many and the quality of the assumed incoming players is excellent.

The games:

Norway will meet Finland in the first game during the Nordic Championship, set for the 17-18th of September. Finland is a three-time European champion on the junior level, but had to settle for bronze in the 1998 championship. A victory would put Norway in the final against either Denmark or Sweden, while a loss would see the Norwegians face one of the mentioned teams in the Bronze final.

Norway will be hard-pressed to win against top European sides Finland and Sweden. Denmark is beatable, but be aware that the 6-2 victory over the Danes in '98 was a very narrow one, not only result-wise.
