Will the Ruins tackle Bærum this time around ?

This was the first home game for the Ruins this year, welcoming the surprising leaders of the 2nd division East -Bærum Blue Devils- on a sunny day in Hamar.

Ruins opened the game on offence taking control of a tough game with a quarterback bootleg that Hamar QB Don Jess ran 40 yards for a touchdown. After this the Ruins never looked back. Scoring a couple of more touchdowns in the first half, one to WR Kjetil Sveen and the other to Thomas Hoelseth, the Ruins took a solid lead against a Blue Devils team that clearly lacked form after having last weekend off.

The Ruins played this game to win, a fiery attitude that gave them an advantage in the start of the game, giving them a lead that the Blue Devils never managed to close in on. The game was more even than the final score shows, with both teams playing hard and tough defense. The scoring edge came with the Ruins passing game where QB/Coach Don Jess stood sending off a couple of bomb passes against a rookie Blue Devils defensive backfield.

This game showed that the Ruins are still a contender in this year's 2nd division East with their strong armed and fast running QB Jess in charge of a wide open & high speed offence. The Blue Devils still stays on top of the division having only lost once this season, but have to find back to their old form before the last two games if they want to stay in that spot.
