June 13th, OSI Vikings (4-1) at Vålerenga Trolls (2-2), Jordal Stadium, 2 PM.

1999: Vikings has the arguably best team Norway has ever seen. A narrow loss in the EuroCup championship against legendary side London O's reflects the improvement of Norwegian football in general and the Vikings specifically. The Trolls on the other hand is going through a painful rebuilding process after reigning supreme in Norway for 5 years.

The Coaches: Chris Gauvreau is a Canadian also in his first year. He has had coaching experiences in France (Lyon Falcons), Switzerland (Landquart Broncos) and Canada (University of Ottawa). The two coaches have never faced eachother before. Olof "Fille" Sundberg is a former national team coach for Sweden. He also used to be the HC of Västerås Roedeers, a SuperSeries team. He is a first year HC of the Trolls after coming in as defensive coordinator last season.

The Series: Too many games to count. The Trolls lead the series, anybody who knows by how many can contact the webmaster.

Last Week: Trolls beat Nidaros 10-0 while the Vikings lost 12-6 in the EuroCup championship game.

Next Week: The Trolls travel to Eidsvoll to face the 1814s, and the Vikes invite Nidaros Domers to Jordal Stadium.

About Oslo: Biggest city and capitol of Norway. Hosts the Nobel Peace Prize each year. Thats about it, really.

TNFJ Tip: The Vikings by 21.
