August 22nd, Vålerenga Trolls (2-4) at Eidsvoll 1814s (4-2), Bøn Stadium, 2 PM.

1999: The Trolls may have turned the corner after a poor season, but the question is whether Eidsvoll can finish off their best season in club history. The Trolls have never been lower in the regular season standings than they were this year. They are looking to rectify some of those impressions in the playoffs. A lot comes down to the play of Eidsvoll MLB Roger Graber and Vålerenga RB Espen Stovnmo.

The Coaches: Jan "Janne" Johansson is in his first year as Head Coach of the 1814s. He has previously coached with Swedish side Uppsala Red Dogs (junior team for the Uppsala 86ers). The two coaches have faced eachother twice with these teams, with one tie and an Eidsvoll victory being the outcome. Olof "Fille" Sundberg is a former national team coach for Sweden. He also used to be the HC of Västerås Roedeers, a SuperSeries team. He is a first year HC of the Trolls after coming in as defensive coordinator last season.

The Series: We're not sure, so if you know then write us an e-mail. TNFJ believes Eidsvoll leads the series with 2 win, 1 loss and 1 tie.

Last Week: None of the teams had games last week.

Next Week: Whoever wins this one will go on to the national championship game, the loser here will have to try again in the next millenium.

About Eidsvoll: Small municipal outside Oslo. Dominated by agriculture, thus giving the 1814s the additional nickname "Farmers". Most known for the writing of the Norwegian laws which was the foundation for Norway as a state. When ? In 1814, of course.

About Oslo: Biggest city and capitol of Norway. Hosts the Nobel Peace Prize each year. Thats about it, really.

TNFJ Tip: The 1814s by 7.
